On 11th April at the Marble Library of CarraraFiere Exhibition Centre in Marina di Carrara, the jury of the 1st International Prize DRESSED STONE DESIGN AWARDS convened to examine all the projects that entered for the Competition.
The jury, composed by Arch. Silvia Nerbi, Arch. Egidio Di Rosa, Arch. Pier Alessandro Giusti and the President of CarraraFiere Srl Mr. Giorgio Bianchini, once recognized the high level of all the works arrived, for the innovation, the originality and the aesthetic research of each of them, decided as follows:

1st Prize for The Living Area - concept project for the environment function, the study of the formal indoor-outdoor balance, to:

Jury’s statement:
for its perfect indoor-outdoor formal balance, its aesthetic pleasantness and the intelligent use of the marble which makes it ready-to be carried out.
Besides being particularly indicated for the urban decoration, the bench can be placed also in big public indoor spaces such as Shopping Malls, Supermarket, Superstores and so on.
The unanimous jury’s wish is to have it soon realized.

Jury’s statement:
for the perfect combination of Design and Technology which makes it an objects easy to sell. The marble is one of the most appropriate material for acoustic transmission, for its physical and mechanical properties.
From the design point of view it is an extremely interesting object because the combined union of marble and glass allows you to see, with the naked eye, the interior shape of the speaker which is actually the result of the acoustic transmission.
It has all the characteristics to be easily carried out.
